We are dedicated to providing high-quality service and will do our best to assist you as quickly and efficiently as possible. Your comments and questions are always welcome and we have a patient questionnaire available if you wish to fill one out.

As you know, medical care in Ontario has changed quite a bit over the years and although we do our best to look after patients as quickly as possible, we sometimes run into problems. In addition, because this is a surgical practice, there are often unforeseeable emergencies where patients require immediate attention. This means that Dr. Lossing may have to cancel appointments at the last minute or that he may be delayed and unable to see you at your scheduled appointment time. We realize that this inconveniences our patients and apologize for this; however, we will do our best to either see you as soon as possible on the day of your scheduled appointment or rebook your appointment as quickly as possible. We do appreciate your patience and understanding during these times.

We have now implemented a cancellation policy which requires that you notify us of any appointment or surgery cancellation at least 24 hours prior to your office appointment or date of surgery. If your appointment or surgery is on a Monday, you must contact our office by 10:00am on the Friday before your appointment/surgery. This is because the appointment or surgery time is reserved specifically for you and if you are not able to attend, this gives us enough time to fill your time slot with patients on our waiting list.

Unless there are extenuating circumstances, if you do not provide us with adequate cancellation notice as outlined above, you will be billed for the cost of your visit/surgery as OHIP does not compensate for missed appointments.

The following uninsured services will be billed directly to you:

Telephone calls for test results: $25.00

Back to work/school note: $15.00

Filling out forms: $25.00

Prescription renewals/replacements: $10.00 (by telephone or mail)
